Ingredients
  • 6 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
Instructions
  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat, once hot add the bacon, and cook until crisp. Set aside and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, add sugar and flour and stir together until sugar is melted about 1 minute.
  3. Add diced onion, garlic, water, and vinegar. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add chopped bacon and cabbage, stir until well coated.
  5. Cook for about 5 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Serve hot.
