Ingredients

  • 750 ml Cabernet Sauvignon or other red wine
  • 4 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 2 cups spiced rum such as Captain Morgan
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 oranges sliced
  • Peel of 1 orange ribboned
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh cranberries or thawed frozen cranberries
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups soda orange-flavored

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher combine all the ingredients except orange soda, stir to combine.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Just before serving stir in soda and ice.
  4. Garnish with orange slices.
