Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 head small cabbage about 2lbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb Polska kielbasa or smoked sausage - sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
Instructions
  1. Slice the cabbage in half, remove and discard the core and cut into thin strips.
  2. Place a cast iron or other heavy large pan over medium-high heat, and once hot add the olive oil.
  3. Add sliced onion and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes, stir a few times.
  4. Add garlic, cook stirring another minute.
  5. Add cabbage, salt, pepper, and paprika to the pan and toss. Cook until cabbage reduces by half, for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add Worcestershire sauce. Stir and add sliced kielbasa or sausage.
  7. When the cabbage is tender and slightly translucent, and kielbasa has browned a bit, remove from heat.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve.
