Pizza roll ups are delicious appetizers, made with store bought pizza dough. This homemade pizza rolls recipe is easy to make, perfect for snacking, and always a favorite party food.

  • 1 package store-bought pizza dough white or whole wheat
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning dried hrebs
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted or use olive oil
  • 1 package pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping


  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. On a lightl floured surface roll the dough into a rectangle, the long side facing you being about 15-20 inches.
  4. Brush with 1 tablespoon of melted butter and sprinkle Italian seasoning herbs and red pepper flakes over the surface.
  5. Arrange the pepperoni in about 5 rows, 8-10 pepperoni slices per row. Start about 2 inches from the side facing you, and leave about 3 inches from the top side.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side that is closer/facing you.
  8. Cut into about 1 inch thick rolls, place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with remaining melted butter or olive oil.
  9. Bake for 12-17 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
