  • 2 cups beef broth or beef drippings
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons corn starch
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring beef broth to a boil.

  2. Immediately stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. In a small bowl whisk together water and corn starch until fully dissolved. Add the slurry to the boiling beef broth and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir until thickened.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Remove from heat and serve.
