  • 1 loaf French or Challah bread thickly sliced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided, for cooking
  • Berries
  • Maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, eggnog, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. Place a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. When the butter is melted, dunk the bread slices in the eggnog mixture, and soak well both sides in it. After, place them in the heated skillet.

  3. Cook until golden (about 2-3 minutes each side), then flip and cook until golden on the other side too. Add the remaining butter and cook the remaining slices.

  4. Serve the Eggnog French Toast slices topped with maple syrup, berries and some powdered sugar.
