Chocolate Mint Mousse made with just a few ingredients is a flavorful and creamy take on the classic, more labor intensive mousse. Chocolate Mint Mousse is very flavorful and creamy! Chocolate and mint is such a classic combo, that I never get tired of. I order Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream whenever I see it on the menu. I am always excited for mint and chocolate desserts. I am a huge fan of creamy, melt in your mouth sweet treats. This easy Chocolate Mint Mousse is a “quick fix” of a mousse craving that needs to be quickly tamed. The “mousse” is made of whipped cream, that has been flavored with cocoa powder for the chocolate layer and peppermint extract for the mint layer.

This is such an easy dessert, that will look stunning and taste delicious. To make this even better, you can layer it with crushed Oreos or Oreo crumbs and sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top. Pipe the “mousse” into individual glasses, garnish with chocolate sauce and fresh mint leaves for a show-stopper dessert! This version is a take on my very popular 5 Minute Peanut Butter Mousse, that you absolutely have to try if you are a peanut butter fan. By the way, you can layer that one with chocolate too!

Recommendations for the perfect Easy Chocolate Mint Mousse Recipe:

  • Make sure you use full fat heavy whipping cream.
  • The cream should be very cold, straight from the fridge.
  • The mixing bowl, for best results, should be very cold as well. Pop it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, before you start making the mousse.
  • You can add more or less sugar based on your own preference.
  • This dessert is also gluten free.
  • You can add layers of Oreo crumbs and mini chocolate chips for extra texture.
  • Preferably serve same day, as the whipped cream tends to dry-out in the fridge if kept too long.
